<p>Protein is a key ingredient in muscle building and as such should not be interfered with. Unfortunately, alcohol impairs protein synthesis. Protein synthesis is the process by which amino acids are joined together to create complete proteins, alcohol consumption has been shown to slow this process by 20%. </p>
<p>The level of testosterone in the body is another factor in muscle building. If you are a woman and you are looking to build muscle mass, you will notice that woman develop lees muscle mass than men. Because of the low levels of testosterone, woman have 15 to 20 times less than men do. What does that have to do with alcohol? Alcohol not only decreases testosterone, it also increases estrogen. </p>

When you exercise the most important vitamins are B and C, this tells you why alcohol consumtion is so important.</p>
<p>Building muscle is done by depleting fat and increasing muscle mass. Alcohol works against this effort. Alcohol works against this effort. Alcohol contains empty calories, which means that they have no nutritional value. It also has twice as many calories as carbohydrates and protein.</p>
<p>While we are on this subject, it should be noted that calories consumed while drinking are the first ones to be burned. Alcohol calories are burned first, then fat stores are a energy backup. You will find that there are things that don&#8217;t work and do work when exercising. You need to know which exercises will help you meet your goals and what will work against you.</p>
<p>You can however have to consider the other affects of alcohol on the body since we have examined most of the major points on alcohol and bodybuilding. <p>Many people need to lose some weight, that&#8217;s a fact.  Look around where people gather, you&#8217;ll see it.  Don&#8217;t laugh.  Unfortunately you&#8217;re likely to see it in the mirror too.  If your goal is fast weight loss, keep these simple things in mind to lose the pounds quickly and safely.</p>
<p>When people want to lose weight one of the most common things they do is to skip meals.  It makes sense, right, cut out the calories by eating one fewer meal.  Doesn&#8217;t weight loss come with eating less calories?  Yes, but skipping meals is a mistake, not the right way to reduce calories.  Your body thinks it&#8217;s being starved when you skip meals.  It goes into &#8220;starvation&#8221; mode.  It starts to retain fat to counteract what it perceives as a shortage of food.  Another problem with skipping meals is that when you finally eat you&#8217;ll be a lot more hungry.  This could lead to binge eating.  Skipping meals is the worst of both worlds that results in gaining even more weight.  Don&#8217;t skip meals.</p>
<p>Have a plan on how much to eat. Portion control is just as important as eating the right food.  Too much of even a healthy food will still result in weight gain.  Portion control isn&#8217;t easy when large portions are so common. Restaurants and even most people in home cooking serve portions far larger than needed.  </p>
<p>The FDA and other sources list recommended daily allowances. And remember portion size when you eat at restaurants, especially fast food restaurants.  You&#8217;ll likely have to cut down on what a restaurant serves.</p>
<p>Eat more whole grain foods, skip the white grains such as white bread, sugar and white rice. Whole grains are lower in fat and higher in nutrients. The fiber in whole grains will make you feel fuller faster and longer. Finally, whole grains add nutrients that many people lack in their diet.</p>
<p>Consume more water. Drink it instead of juices and sodas which add about 90,000 calories to the average person&#8217;s diet each year.  Drink water between meals too. In fact, the goal is 8 glasses of water each day. It&#8217;s easily possible. Drinking water will also promote health in general by keeping you well hydrated and helping to avoid overheating.</p>
<p>Eat healthy snacks between meals. The body needs food every three to four hours to maintain proper blood sugar. Healthy snacks also help control eating at meal times.</p>
<p>Fast weight loss isn&#8217;t impossible with a little knowledge and planning.  It won&#8217;t be long before you&#8217;re slimmer and trimmer.</p>

<p>For any person attempting to lose weight, burning fat is the most significant thing you can achieve. Without burning fat all your going to lose is muscle, and the more muscle you lose the more fat you&#8217;ll actually gain. The more muscle your body has it naturally burns more calories during your body&#8217;s resting state. The higher your body&#8217;s fat percentage the slower your metabolism will be.</p>
<p>Don&#8217;t neglect your breakfast. As soon as you wake up in the morning, your body has just completed an 8 hour fast. After enduring such a fast without nutrients, your body enters a catabolic (muscle wasting) state and will begin to break down protein. This is an important time to get some much needed food as soon as possible. A healthy breakfast is critical to any successful fat-burning diet.</p>
<p>Consume a meal every 2 to 3 hours. This means that you will be eating a meal 5 to 6 times a day. Not only will this kind of meal regime stimulate muscle maintenance and fat loss, it is also an essential technique for controlling food cravings. You see, when people miss a meal, or neglect eating for a while, their blood sugar plummets, and their will power becomes weak. In other words, people who go a long time without eating are much more likely to cheat on their diet. Thus, eating every two to three hours will help eliminate those cravings that may be the main reason that you have failed all dieting attempts in the past.</p>
<p>Even if you never get the cravings for food caused by missing meals, you must still be careful. If you miss meals on a regular basis, your body will actually activate enzymes that store fat. This will make losing weight much more difficult. So don&#8217;t do it! Eat!</p>
<p>It&#8217;s a good idea to reduce your carbohydrate intake. Your body&#8217;s fuel will come from a mixture of fat, protein and carbs. When you reduce your carbohydrate intake, your body&#8217;s stores of carbs will diminish quickly. This creates an effect in your body, and it will use a greater amount of free fatty acids (fat) for fuel. Decreasing carbs will also cause a hormonal fat-burning effect. When you reduce cards, insulin (a storage hormone) is lowered and glycogen (a fuel mobilizing hormone) increases. This causes a greater number free fatty acids to be released from fat cells and burned, relying on the fact that you&#8217;re working out properly.</p>
<p>Opt for compound exercises instead of performing isolation exercises. Compound exercises use more than one muscle across multiple joints, and isolation exercises attempt to train only one muscle at a time. The best thing about using compound exercises is that you will be training the most muscle in a given amount of time.</p>
<p>Generally, the more muscle you use per exercise, the larger the energy (calorie) demand will be on your body. This in turn, uses more energy, which is definitely good, but it also encourages the body to hold on to its lean muscle during fat burning phases, which helps keep your resting metabolic rate up. In addition, compound exercises have been shown to stimulate the release of your body&#8217;s natural anabolic hormones. This further helps you maintain lean muscle.</p>
<p>Be answerable to someone. If you unable to afford a trainer full-time, hire one to construct your diet and exercise programs for you and monitor your progress. You might only need them once a month, but having them there will offer you someone you are answerable to on a continual basis. This will help you stay focused.</p>
<p>If you can&#8217;t afford a trainer, or don&#8217;t want to work with a trainer, try to find a workout partner. This makes you more committed to exactly when and where you will be training. There will be less missed workouts, and you&#8217;ll have more consistency in the gym and your workouts in general. If this seems impossible or undesirable to you, attempt to look for one good friend who totally backs you, and who doesn&#8217;t mind you calling them up every few days and reporting your progress. It might feel like your friend is almost like a sponsor in an AA meeting at times, but believe me, that&#8217;s not such a terrible thing to possess in your life when you&#8217;re attempting to burn fat. This is even more important when you&#8217;re continually in the company of people who don&#8217;t care about what they eat.</p>

<p>Wouldn&#8217;t it be great if you could actually lose weight by eating? Well, let me present to you three such foods that will help you to lose weight. I know it may sound too good to be true, but read on and you will see what I mean!</p>
<p>1. Olive oil: Stop using those fatty oils and use olive oil instead. Olive oil contains a considerable amount of unsaturated fats and little saturated fats. Unsaturated fats are much better for you as they will suppress your appetite and will also fight cholesterol.  Try it and you may even find that you like the taste of your food better!</p>
<p>2. Lean meats: Lean chicken meat is one of the best weight loss foods you can ever have! Why you ask? Well, it contains very little fat and a lot of protein.  As you may know, protein builds lean muscles which in turn accelerates you metabolism and helps you burn fat. </p>
<p>If you don&#8217;t like chicken, then turkey breast will work as well! Just remember that the key is to choose lean meats only versus going for the red meats!</p>
<p>Fishes are also very good for quick weight loss. A variety of fishes such as salmon and tuna contain Omega-3 fatty acids which fall in the category of &#8216;good fats&#8217; or unsaturated fats. Leptin is a hormone that causes you to gain weight because it triggers you body to store fat. Omega-3 fatty acids affect the amount of leptin present in your body.  By cutting them down, you are bound to lose weight!</p>
<p>3. Berries: Berries are also good for weight loss. Take you pick as there are many types such as blackberries, blueberries, and strawberries. One way or the other, berries will help you lose weight.  Strawberry is especially recommended among the berries because it also helps in suppressing your appetite. Once you get rid of hunger pangs, you can focus more on your weight loss goals and less on eating!</p>
<p>As you can see, just because you want to lose weight doesn&#8217;t mean that you have to starve. I firmly believe that if you eat the right foods, you will not only lose weight but also become healthy.  Many people tend to starve or follow crash diets but in the end sabotage their weight loss efforts when returning to their old ways.</p>

<p>Eat grilled or boiled meat such as steak and chicken instead of fried meat.  Add red pepper to make it taste even better.</p>
<p>Give up the soda. If you consume a soda or two every day you are adding empty calories. If you find it hard to stop completely, cut back at first and drink water instead|Stop drinking soda.  Those are empty calories so stop drinking it and substitute water.  (Note that the average person adds 90,000 calories a year from drinking juice or soda.  WOW!  That&#8217;s a great tip.)</p>
<p>If there&#8217;s no junk food at home you can&#8217;t eat it.  Make a list, shop the list.</p>
<p>Treat yourself at least once a week to the foods you really like.  That will help you avoid binging when you experience cravings.  When you treat, don&#8217;t go nuts.</p>
<p>Use a smaller plate to trick yourself into thinking you&#8217;re eating more than you really are.  (Not only are you tricking yourself, even if the trick doesn&#8217;t work it&#8217;s easier to stop eating when the plate is finished and there&#8217;s no more food available.)</p>
<p>Rob a bank and get caught.  They serve a balanced diet in prison.  (Um, no.  That&#8217;s a bad idea.)</p>
<p>A way to ensure you gain more weight is to try all those quick diets then yo-yo back the other way when they&#8217;re done.  Don&#8217;t do it.</p>
<p>Do exercise multiple times a day.  If you&#8217;re watching television, do some push ups or crunches.  (That&#8217;s a great idea to increase the work outs.)</p>
<p>Measure your food.  If you have junk food carefully to measure and control the portion.  (Portion control is a big part of a healthy diet.  Most restaurants and even people at home serve too much food.)</p>
<p>Step in front of a moving train.  You&#8217;ll wake up from the coma a slimmer you.  (Another bad idea.  It&#8217;s best to stick to ways to lose weight while remaining healthy.  After all, the ultimate goal is good health.)</p>

<p>If you drop a few of these things, re-rack the bar and get yourself into correct position for a second time prior to your next rep. Proper form is more important than doing all your reps all together.</p>

<p>This can be a regular occurrence for someone having a strong desire to develop their physique, which is why many body builder&#8217;s quit, thinking that they are by some means unable to increase body mass.</p>
<p>So why does this happen to so many of us and what can you do to resolve it?</p>
<p>From my knowledge, those of us who do not make good muscle gains in the gym make the same mistakes time after time. </p>
<p>Read on below to see if you are making these everyday mistakes, with solutions for every problem.</p>

<p>Many bodybuilding supplements are not anything more than costly marketing gimmicks. They empty your income of hard earned money and do zilch to increase muscle fast. If you spent $75 a week on muscle building supplements, it would make no more than 10% difference to your muscle size.</p>
